Thomas Rosen, born Kempka and also known as rsn works in the fields of sound aesthetics, photography and the design of sound objects. His work is both self-sufficient and open to other areas of creative art. To create a fully immersive experience, the focus is not on perfection, but on the moment, the process, and the flow. The art of Thomas Rosen aims to change perception and materiality by creating a focus on the here and now through immersion.
Thomas Rosen studied Media Studies (m.a.) and Theater Studies (b.a.) at the Ruhr University Bochum. He is part of the instrumental black drone metal band [ B O L T ], founder of the boutique cassette label momentarily records, and host of the radio show invisible structures.
ARTIST'S STATEMENT
Thomas Rosen explores how perceptions can be changed. abstract photographs and immersive soundscapes open up intermediate spaces in which the now is intensely concentrated.
